As a result, BRMK has committed to the Bettercoal Code and intends to undergo independent assessment of its mine in South Africa.
BRMK operates the Koornfontein Mine located within Middelburg, Mpumalanga Province which it started mining in 2020.
According to Bettercoal’s Assurance System, BRMK will become a ‘Bettercoal Producer’ once the site assessment has been completed and the Continuous Improvement Plan has been agreed.
